SeaHive Partners with Breeze Bag

SeaHive is proud to announce our collaboration with Breeze Bag, a Kickstarter-funded project that redefines the classic beach bag. For this partnership, SeaHive and Sprout Studios helped Breeze Bag review their packaging processes and materials, and specify zero-plastic packaging solutions for their product. By eliminating plastics from their packaging, Breeze Bag is demonstrating its dedication to preserving the beaches that inspired the company’s Founder, Rebecca Sama, to begin with.

Rebecca comes from a background in architecture, sustainability, and environmental design. But despite her extensive resume, the idea for the Breeze Bag was actually borne out of her experience as a mother. A lifelong beach-lover, Rebecca found that once she had kids, she was missing out on the easy, carefree experience that she used to have when going to the beach. “I was struggling with bags and snacks and water bottles,” she explained to SeaHive, “I couldn’t even safely get my kids from the parking lot to the beach with all our gear in one trip.”

With nothing on the market that met her needs, Rebecca rolled up her sleeves and did it herself. The Breeze Bag is, as she describes it, a “Choose Your Own Adventure” type of bag. It’s customizable pop sections create designated spots so you can separate the wet stuff from dry, the snacks from the sunscreen, and with a bevy of pockets, there’s a place for everything. Plus, the straps transform the bag from a tote to a backpack in one simple motion, making it convenient to carry everywhere from the airport to the pool.

But Rebecca didn’t stop at designing the product; rather, she reached out to SeaHive to make sure that her packing and shipping process was as thought-out as the bag was. “Using our voice and our product to convey a message of sustainability means a lot to me,” Rebecca explained, “especially as a parent, a lifelong environmentalist, and a beach lover.” And this is something that has really resonated with their customers.

The Breeze Bag Kickstarter reached more than 300 backers and raised over $45,000. They are now available for sale at findyourbreeze.com. We at SeaHive are both proud and excited to be collaborators on this project, and we cannot wait for you to receive your Breeze Bag delivered with zero-plastic packaging.
